What’s Flexible SCIM Team Provisioning?
Flexible SCIM Team Provisioning improves our existing SCIM integration. It enables Account Administrators to directly map Identity Provider (IdP) groups to ProductPlan teams. This enhancement provides organizations with greater flexibility and control over user management.
How does it work?
You can access SCIM functionality through the Account (gear icon) and Security tab. Within the SCIM Provisioning section, Account Admins can now configure team mappings and editor provisioning settings.
Key Features:
- Custom Group Mapping: Map your existing IdP group names to ProductPlan teams, regardless of naming conventions.
- Selective Editor Provisioning: Choose which ProductPlan teams should have users provisioned as editors, ensuring only relevant teams receive editor licenses.
Best Practices
First, create necessary teams in ProductPlan before configuring SCIM permissions in your IdP. This step prevents unintended team creation during provisioning. Moreover, double-check the spelling and capitalization of IdP Group names when entering them into the Customization Table to ensure accuracy.
