What are the new connection lines?
Customers will now have access to connection lines in the Strategic Portfolio, enabling a comprehensive relationship visualization between roadmap items. This update provides a clear, visual representation of how work items are interconnected. The goal is to ultimately help stakeholders understand potential impacts and risks across strategic initiatives.
How do connection lines work?
Connection lines will appear by default in the Strategic Portfolio timeline view. The connection lines will be based on the connection feature at the roadmap level. Users can toggle connection lines on or off.
Connections will be intelligently displayed to minimize visual noise, with lines drawn to the closest iteration of connected bars when items span multiple lanes.
Why introduce connection lines?
We want to provide organizations with a powerful tool to:
- Proactively identify and manage potential project risks
- Enhance strategic decision-making through clear relationship visualization
- Improve cross-team collaboration and planning
- Offer a more holistic view of how work items impact strategic objectives

Available on Enterprise and Professional plans.
Other Enhancements:
- Team or Company Labels are now displayed in the Parent Objectives Selector. When selecting a parent objective for Cascading OKRs, users will now see Team or Company labels next to each objective, providing context and making it easier to identify the correct objective to connect to.
- The Strategic Portfolio has been updated to no longer incorporate roadmap versions.
