Who is a Stakeholder?

Who your company considers stakeholders may vary depending on factors like size, organizational structure, and industry. In any case, stakeholders can be loosely defined as anyone who has a vested interest in your product's success. By this definition, stakeholders could include executive leadership, investors, board members, employees, and even customers.

Deciding What to Include on Stakeholder Roadmaps

Stakeholder roadmaps are most effective when they contain only the information most pertinent to each audience (stakeholder group). If your roadmap over-details work being done, stakeholders cannot easily understand the big picture. Instead, include only the initiatives or epics that answer the questions your target audience woud have about your product strategy and execution.
